Brya Berry

Brya Berry is ecstatic to call Kansas City home!

Brya is the weekday co-anchor for the 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. newscasts on KMBC 9 News and KCWE.

Before coming to Kansas City, she worked as a morning anchor and reporter at KFOR in Oklahoma City. One of Brya's investigative stories helped her team win the Oklahoma Broadcast Association's "Best Newscast" award in 2022. She spent two years at KFOR before joining KMBC in May 2023.

Before moving to OKC, Brya spent two and a half years at WRBL in Columbus, Georgia. There, she was a morning news anchor and multi-media journalist.

Brya graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in May 2017 with a degree in broadcast journalism. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

In her downtime, you can find Brya skating, reading books, and exploring the great states of Missouri and Kansas. If you see her around, please say hi! She loves people and mentoring students.
