The NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series heads to Nashville Superspeedway this weekend with the playoff picture starting to tighten and only nine races remaining before the chase begins.
The series comes off a chaotic Memorial Day weekend race at Charlotte that was ultimately shortened by rain. Ross Chastain emerged with the win after an intense battle throughout the event with Jesse Love, as the two drivers traded the lead multiple times before weather brought the race to an early end.
The victory continued a strong season for Junior Motorsports, which has consistently shown speed across a variety of tracks. That momentum now shifts to Nashville, where defending race winner Justin Allgaier returns to one of his better tracks on the schedule.
The concrete surface at Nashville Superspeedway has created plenty of challenging races since the facility returned to the NASCAR calendar. Allgaier has proven especially strong on concrete tracks over the years and also showed speed earlier this season at Dover.
Dr. Patrick Staropoli earned his sixth top-20 finish of the season at Charlotte for Big Machine Racing, finishing 18th after starting 23rd. BMR is a promotional partner with KCWE this season.
Qualifying for the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series at Nashville is scheduled for Saturday at 2:05 p.m.
Fans can watch practice and qualifying beginning Saturday at 1 p.m. Central on The CW app or cwtv.com.
Live coverage begins Saturday evening on Kansas City’s Own® KCWE and The CW.
