There is a flash flood warning in the KC metro until 9:15 a.m.

Kansas City weather live updates:

Lingering showers could affect the morning commute. Wet roads and areas of standing water may create travel concerns.

Rain will taper to sprinkles by midday, followed by some breaks in the clouds and limited afternoon sunshine. Most additional thunderstorms should remain north of Kansas City during the afternoon and evening.

Highs will reach the lower to mid-80s.
