Few AM raindrops, then sunny & beautiful this PM

Scattered showers/rumbles for some this AM, then dry with sunshine just in time for the evening.

Rain is slowly drifting to the southeast out of Nebraska this morning and eventually will cross into the Kansas City coverage area. Rain should make it to KC around 9-10 AM and will only last for a few hours. Most of the rain will weaken as it drops south, so only a few surviving scattered showers and a few rumbles of thunder are expected.

Increasing sunshine takes over for the late afternoon and evening hours. Highs will warm up to the mid-80s today around KC but will be a few degrees cooler farther north. The weather looks great for the KC Current and Royals games this evening!

We remain dry and quiet overnight tonight and through most of Sunday. Showers and storms are possible Sunday afternoon mainly in central Kansas. But rain moves into the metro just in time for the evening and lingers through the overnight hours into early Monday morning.

Highs will be in the lower 80s Sunday before warming back to the mid to upper 80s for the rest of the work week. Rain chances are limited for the new week ahead, with only small chances Monday morning, Wednesday, and Saturday.
