'I was proud of him': Andy Reid reacts to L'Jarius Sneed's first game action since return
Chiefs defensive back L'Jarius Sneed got his first action in for the team since he returned this summer.
He made his preseason debut in Friday night's 9-9 tie against Seattle.
Head coach Andy Reid said he was happy to see him get action after he dealt with injuries leading up to training camp.
“Wasn't that great to see him out there?” Reid said. “I mean, you know, he's battled through a couple things injury-wise, and I was proud of him.”
He return to the team on a reported one-year deal after spending two seasons with the Tennessee Titans.
He spent his first four seasons with Kansas City, helping them win two Super Bowls in that stretch.
His return could help provide the secondary a veteran presence.
“He wanted to be out there, and he got himself kind of back into football shape over camp and then the last couple weeks here,” Reid said. “Then he was able to get out there and perform and do a nice job.”
